Old Man Winter is may be making it difficult to get out but we have some ideas to shake off those winter blues locally! Although they are operating during winter hours, our museums are still open and ready to welcome visitors! Check the schedule below heading out for a tour then get ready to immerse yourself in our city’s heritage!
George Rogers Clark National Historical Park: Visitors Center & Parking is open from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, 7 days/week, and the Memorial can be opened between 9:00 am – 4:45 pm upon request. They are closed on all federal holidays until Memorial Day.
Grouseland – William. Henry Harrison Mansion and Museum: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday with tours starting at the beginning of the hour. Tours may also be scheduled outside of regular visiting hours by calling (812) 882-2096 and scheduling an appointment.
Indiana Military Museum: From January through February the IMM will be open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, Tuesday – Sunday & are closed on Mondays.
Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy: The RSM is open from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sundays, with the first Sunday of the month being free. They are closed on Mondays, but resume operating hours Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Vincennes State Historic Sites: The VSHS maintain their regular operating hours during the winter season. Their hours are 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Wednesday – Sunday.
Old Cathedral: The old Cathedral is open Sunday – Saturday from 6 am – 6 pm. For guided tours please contact the Visitors & Tourism Bureau at least 48 hours in advance.
Brute Library & Museum: The Brute Library is currently open by appointment only. For guided tours please contact the Visitors & Tourism Bureau at least 48 hours in advance.
