The Vincennes University Theatre Program students will present “Silent Sky,” by Lauren Gunderson as their winter performance. The play focuses on the life and career of Henrietta Leavitt, hearing impaired astronomer for the Harvard observatory in the early 1800s. Leavitt proved invaluable to the history of astronomy. The Indiana Volkssport Association with George Rogers Clark National Historical Park will present a volksmarch, "George Rogers Clark Historic Walk with Heroes" on Saturday, February 22, 2020. A Volksmarch is literally a "folks walk" or a walk for the people. This a 5k or 10k walk guided by the National Park Service commemorating the 241st anniversary of Clark's capture of British-held Fort Sackville in February 1779 during the Revolutionary War. Annual “George Rogers Clark March”
The annual George Rogers Clark March is Saturday, February 22. This five-mile walk will retrace the steps of Clark and this men on their way to capture Fort Sackville in 1779.
