Join Red Skelton Museum Curator, Mark Kratzner and director, Anne Pratt as they preview the ten upcoming films in the Oscar Laughs! Film Series. The evening will introduction to Comedy films and performers who have been honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The series kicks off in October 2022 with a discussion of why comedy films are often overlooked at Oscar time and a preview of the upcoming films. The series continues on the 4th Tuesday of every month with an award-winning comedy film from each decade beginning with the 1930’s and continuing through 2020. The series wraps up in September of 2023 with an “Oscar Laughs” awards ceremony where attendees vote on the best films from the series in several categories.
Movie refreshments will be served. The event is free, but please register on Eventbrite if you plan to attend

Showings will begin at 6:30 pm & 9 pm.
Half of the proceeds from this event will go to Helping His Hands, the other half will go toward the Youth Leadership Knox County Scholarship Fund.
