“The Gift of Giving” Exhibit

The Gift of Giving exhibit will feature the newest artifacts donated by Mrs. Lothian Skelton; including new paintings, major awards and other interesting items, as well as Red’s Giving Spirit with the Shriners and needy children. The exhibit is available to see during regular Museum hours: Sunday, 12:00pm - 5:00pm and Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00am - 5:00pm. *The Museum is closed on Monday.

National Watermelon Drop

RING IN THE NEW YEAR by celebrating at the National Watermelon Drop in downtown Vincennes! Knox County's own quirky New Year's event features music in a heated tent from 9pm to 1am, food and drinks on site and photo opportunities with giant watermelon until 11:45pm. Watch the 1,400-pound watermelon rise high in the sky as midnight approaches, culminating with 20 Knox County watermelons dropped on the “splatform” at the stroke of midnight followed by spectacular fireworks!
