Whether it’s your first time going to First City Music Festival or you’re a seasoned festival goer, knowing what to pack can be a difficult decision. Luckily, we’ve created a list of some essentials we think that you should bring with you to FCMF.
Bug Spray – Unfortunately bugs are a normal part of the warm weathered months here in the Midwest. That doesn’t mean that we can’t do our best to fight them off though!
Cash – Cash makes for easy transactions at FCMF, but just in case you forget yours, there will be an ATM set up on site.
A Cooler – A cool drink and a snack can really hit the spot after jamming out with your friends at FCMF and participating in all that they have to offer. Please don’t bring or use glass bottles though!
Comfortable Clothes – There’s nothing worse than being stuck somewhere in uncomfortable clothes.
A First Aid Kit – Accidents happen and it’s always good to be prepared!
Good Shoes – Whether you’re walking around, dancing, or participating in one of the many workshops that FCMF has to offer, good shoes are an essential item for this jam-packed weekend!
Something to Sit In or On – a blanket, chair, hammock, or something else! It’s always nice to have a chair to rest on after a long day of listening to music and dancing.
Something to Hold All of Your Stuff – For all of the stuff you bring as well as anything you may buy from one of the many artisan vendors that will be set up at FCMF. Backpacks and fanny packs are both great options!
Sunscreen – The forecast is calling for warm, sunny weather! While it’s easy to get lost in the music and have fun, a sunburn could really bring you down. Be sure to reapply sunscreen every couple of hours so you can keep the fun going!
Your Instrument – Music is meant to be shared! Artists who are performing at FCMF will be leading workshops throughout the weekend. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime chance to play with the pros!
Your Yoga Mat – There are multiple yoga classes scheduled to be happening throughout the weekend! Don’t miss out because you forgot your mat!
