Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day – Indiana Military Museum
In honor of Vietnam War Veterans, the Indiana Military Museum will present a Vietnam War Living History Event on Saturday, August 15. The day is filled with outdoor activities including battle scenarios, Veterans/Living History Reenactor demonstrations, military artifact vendors and food vendors. The museum will be offering "Huey" helicopter rides for a fee of $100 per person with children age 12 and under riding for $50/each preregistration begins at 9:30am. *Any Vietnam, Korean or WWII Vet may ride for FREE.…
“Colonial French Day”, school program
Vincennes State Historic Sites, 1 W. Harrison Street Learn about early French life in Vincennes! Discover the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of colonial French Vincennes in general, as well as the daily life of a French fur trader. Walk through the Old French House (built around 1809), learn about early French life and enjoy live music from the time period.Tickets are $8/adults (ages 12+), $5/youth (ages 12 and younger), 25% discount for members.

19th Amendment Centennial “Scavenger Hunt”
Through the month of August, George Rogers Clark National Historical Park is celebrating the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote with a virtual scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt features posters of important women organizers of the historic accomplishment.
