Creation stories are a large part of human society, and the early pioneers and Native Americans were no different. Creation stories help humans understand their place in the universe and will often use the stars to provide answers to the age-old questions of why are we here, and who is out there beyond this planet? Interpreters will introduce the participants to various creation stories and while encouraging discussion, will direct the artists among them to develop their own creation story using the craft materials provided.

Experience the social event of afternoon tea during the Early Republic. Find out how tea time became established and what social etiquette is required to partake in such a traditional social engagement. Learn about dressing, calling cards, appropriate pastimes and food etiquette. This late afternoon event will take place in our historic buildings and end with tea and cakes. Period clothing is optional. Led by costumed interpreters. Registration required.
