Whether you pack your own lunch or pick up something local from your favorite restaurant in town, heading outdoors this Saturday (April 23rd) for National Picnic Day is a family-friendly activity that all can enjoy!
Come see the Big Balloon Build at the Highland Woods Community Center! After a week of hard work from balloon artists around the world, their creations will be open to the public. This will be the only time the balloon build will be available for the public to see.
In lieu of an admission fee, the builders are requiring those who wish to attend to bring a bag full of canned goods. These donations will help the United Way’s canned food drive for local food pantries.
Have breakfast with the Easter Bunny! At this special VIP event, you will have early access to the Big Balloon Build before everyone else, as well as the opportunity to have your picture professionally taken with the Easter bunny and to eat breakfast with them.
There are only 200 spots available for this event; those who wish to attend must contact Lacey Lane to reserve their tickets. She can be reached by calling 812-899-1109. Tickets are $25/person.
Photographs will be taken by Chelsea Polston of In a Blink Photography.
Join the members of Youth Leadership Knox County for a showing of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The sound for the movie will be played through a radio station provided by The Original Company. Food trucks will also be on site.
Showings will begin at 6:30 pm & 9 pm.
Half of the proceeds from this event will go to Helping His Hands, the other half will go toward the Youth Leadership Knox County Scholarship Fund.
