FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK & NEW EXHIBITS AT LOCAL GALLERIES – AUGUST 6TH, 2021
All three of Vincennes’ art galleries are featuring new exhibits, and are bringing back First Friday Art Walks! Art Space Vincennes is featuring non-objective works by one of its owners, Amy DeLap, in her exhibit titled “Nuances.” The pieces within “Nuances” use a variety of different media and focus on the elements of color, value, line, shape, space, and texture to tell a story. The Northwest Territory Art Guild is featuring works by watercolor and pastel artist Bill Meyer. A former art teacher, Meyer’s realistic works often feature landscapes from southwestern Indiana and other places he has seen during his travels. The Open Gallery will be featuring the latest paintings from Sarah Wolfe in an exhibit titled “Saying What No One is Thinking.” This show is an exploration of new ideas and techniques that are colorful and compelling and inspired by elements from the natural world. As part of Friday’s opening, the gallery welcomes a new musical combo, Buck Rogers Clark, which includes Wolfe’s husband Trevor Murry, so Friday evening will be a family affair of the arts!
