With Thanksgiving quickly approaching and the Christmas season following right behind it, it is easy to lose track of time and community events. This year though, there are multiple community events that we think you should mark on your calendar. Here is our list of Knox County’s Top 10 November Events.
- Melon Patch Christmas Open House (Thurs. Nov. 4th 10AM – 5PM)
Come in and check out The Mellon Patch’s blowout prices on trees, Christmas lights, garland, wreaths, lawn ornaments, and inflatables. Sample their best-selling dips, cheeseballs, and drink mixes. They’re also having lunch specials all day! Including Chili, Ham and Beans w/ cornbread and Biscuits and Gravy All Day!!!!! And don’t forget that for every $21 spent on gift items you receive a chance to win a prize!

- Christmas Stroll (Thurs – Sat, Nov. 4th – 6th)
Kick-off the Christmas season in downtown Vincennes! Join participating businesses throughout November 4-6 for holiday specials! 🎄🎅🏼 Shop local this holiday season! 🎁

- First Friday Art Walk (Fri. Nov. 5th)
Join your friends at the three downtown galleries—Art Space Vincennes, LLC, the Northwest Territory Art Guild, and The Open Gallery—and the Shircliff Gallery on the Vincennes University campus for the First Friday Art Walk, November 5 from 5 – 8 pm.
Each gallery will be featuring new exhibitions as well as artwork from October’s exhibits.

- St. John Lutheran Craft Fair (Sat. Nov. 6th)
Come out to shop at the annual St. John Lutheran Craft Fair. With an amazing array of craft items, Christmas shopping is a breeze. Treat yourself to a delicious lunch while you are there! The craft fair runs from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

- Community Series Concert “The Rat Pack is Back” (Fri. Nov. 12th)
THE RAT PACK IS BACK! Featuring a seven-piece Orchestra! Now, in its eighteenth smash year with over 6000 performances in over 40 states, 4 foreign countries, and over two million tickets sold, relive the days of the Rat Pack with Las Vegas’ most famous entertainers and their live big band as they appeared in the Sands Hotel Copa Room. - Granary Christmas (Fri. & Sat. Nov. 12th -13th)
Visit The Granary for their special two-day Christmas event!
The Granary will be open on Friday, November 12th from 4 pm-7 pm, and Saturday, November 13th from 10 am – 2 pm. Located at their family’s grain elevator—Anson Farm Services—in Monroe City, Indiana, The Granary specializes in unique, one-of-a-kind vintage and antique items to style homes. They will have many vintage Christmas items to decorate homes for the season, as well as some giftable items and holiday Christmas shirts.

- 2nd Sunday Nature Walk – “Leaf Trails” (Sun. Nov. 14th)
Collect various leaves from the ground and observe them in two different ways. Artistically, you’ll create color palettes with the different leaves you find. Biologically, you will look for different signs on the leaves that tell what happened to them during the summer. You may even make a leaf trail for others to find!

- “Guitars in the Night” VU Concert (Thurs. Nov. 18th)
The Vincennes University Performing Arts Department presents “Guitars in the Night.”
This year’s concert features VU Music’s Blues Ensemble, Prof. Joseph Jones & guest Nolan Winters on Classic Guitars, and the group “Wood & Wire.” Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

- Christmas Lights at Ouabache Trails Park (Fri. Nov. 26th – Dec. 26th)
Ouabache Trails Park will present their annual nightly Christmas Light Display from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm beginning Friday after Thanksgiving and running through December 26th. All are invited to drive through the park to view the displays.
