“Autumn on Main” & “First Friday” Art Walk – Main Street/Downtown Vincennes
Main Street comes alive at the annual “Autumn on Main” and the “First Friday” Art Walk on September 6! The much anticipated event includes great food by street vendors, beer and wine tasting, a classic vehicle show, live music, kids’ activities and more!
Stop in the Main Street galleries, Art Space Vincennes, Northwest Territory Art Guild, and the Open Gallery to browse through works of art in a variety of mediums. Many downtown businesses will remain open for shopping during the event.
Vincennes Historic Farmers Market
Take advantage of the fresh, local produce offered at the weekly Farmers Market! The market offers freshly picked produce from local farmers vendors artisan breads, fresh-cut flowers and general store specialty items from 8 AM – 1 PM at the Riverfront Pavilion.
Hoosier Cruisers Cruise-In & Car Show – Riverfront Pavilion & Gregg Park
The Hoosier Cruisers are hosting two great events in Vincennes this weekend! At 7:00pm on Saturday, September 7th, the club will cruise in their classic vehicles from Gregg Park to the Riverfront Pavilion and will be on site until 9:00pm.
On Sunday, September 8th, the classic vehicles will be on display at Gregg Park from 9:00am-2:00pm. All proceeds from the show go toward the annual kids’ shopping trip in October. The public is invited to join in the fun!
“Vincennes Stage Door Canteen USO Night” – Green Activities Center, V.U. Campus
The 11th Annual Vincennes Stage Door Canteen USO Night will be on Saturday, September 7th at the Green Activities Center at Vincennes University. This year, they are helping raise money for the local Indiana Military Museum!
The Homecoming of Award-Winning Songwriter, Kerry Kurt Phillips – Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, V.U. Campus
Local award-winning songwriter, Kerry Kurt Phillips will perform at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 7 at 7:00pm. The audience is invited to participate during the FREE acoustic performance and Kerry Kurt will take questions and answers throughout the show.
Directly following, Phillips will sit and sign a special “hatch show print” poster for everyone in attendance. A screening of Ken Burn’s documentary, “Country Music” will kick off the evening. This program will air on PBS Sunday, September 15 at 8:00pm. This event is made possible by PBS WVUT.
Second Sunday Nature Walk – Ouabache Trails Park
“Fungi Foray” will be held at Ouabache Trails Park on September 8. Fungi appears in a vast variety of forms and colors which you could explore along the trail, looking for any types and learning some basics about it! Participants should meet at 2 PM in front of the park office.
