First Friday Art Walk
The Open Gallery is proud to welcome Julia Wright for a solo exhibition of her work titled "So Tall Grows the Corn: Rural 'Insouciantism' in the Muck of Modern Times." The title may be ponderous but the work is an eclectic mix of large paintings, monoprints and drawings that explore optimism and humor in the face of the mundanity of modern life. This murder mystery will hide clues in the art across three art galleries with a scene played out at each gallery. Detectives can interview suspects, inspect artwork for clues, and can win a prize if they identify the perpetrator correctly.
