Angel Mounds and Indiana’s Pre-History
Learn about one of the best-preserved, pre-contact Native American sites in North America – Angel Mounds State Historic Site located in Evansville. Discover the history of the land that would become Indiana during a presentation by Mike Linderman, site manager of Angel Mounds. This event takes place at the Old State Bank, 114 N. Second St., Vincennes. Registration is required by 5 p.m. on Aug. 20. Recommended for ages 18+.

Lace up your tennis shoes and run/walk the North Knox FCA Labor Day 5K Run. Registration starts at 7am with the race at 8am at the Bicknell Fire Station, 213 East 1st Street. The Heritage Parade will kick off at noon at 10th and Main Streets. The parade goes down Main Street to South Side Park. Parade entry forms can be obtained by calling 812-735-3559.
