Heirloom Tomato Program
August 14 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Learn about heirloom tomatoes at the next Natural Gardeners Club gathering on Wednesday, August
14, 7:00 pm Eastern. The public is welcome to this fun, casual evening at the Fortnightly Club
Building, 421 N. 6th St., Vincennes, Indiana.
There will be a short program about heirloom tomato varieties, followed by a presentation on how to
save seeds from tomatoes and peppers. Attendees are welcome to bring heirloom tomatoes and peppers
to share. There will also be information about the August 24 Salsa Party and Salsa-Making Contest.
Preceding the program will be a pitch-in dinner, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, which may feature some
heirloom tomatoes, peppers, and other garden-derived goodies. Anyone wanting to participate in the
pitch-in may bring food to share and their own beverage. Bringing one’s own table service is a
sustainable and encouraged option, though disposable items will be available.
