Build-and-Fly Program

Youth interested in Aviation or Technology ages 8 – 18 years old are invited to the Build-and-Fly Program at the Mid-American Air Center in Lawrenceville, Illinois. This program is designed to be a hands on building and flying experience with remote control aircraft to give youth a chance to experience the fun of flying first hand and promote R/C model building/flying, full scale sport flying and careers in Aviation. The initial building session will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 8:00am – 12:00pm (CST) and the Club Fly-In Breakfast will be held on Saturday, February 29 from 8:00am – 12:00pm (CST). Each participant will have an opportunity to work on building the club’s project airplane, fly a RealFlilght R/C flight simulator, learn about principles of flight, and fly an R/C trainer airplane with an instructor (weather permitting).
