Have you ever spent your weekend searching for something fun to do? Worry no more! There are plenty of places to find live entertainment in Vincennes/Knox County! We have put together a list of all the venues and restaurants that host live music over the weekends. Enjoy!
First City Music Festival
The inaugural “First City Music Festival” will be held at the French Commons (2nd & Willow Streets) on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, 19. The eclectic music festival will celebrate the heritage and culture of music and local artists are invited to perform their various types of music. Artisan vendors will offer one-of-a-kind items and exceptional food vendors as well as libations for adults will be available during this two-day event. On Friday the general admission gates will open at 2:00pm and with a pre-show at 3:00pm by local musicians Jared & Luke. More great entertainment on the main stage will be held from 5:00pm – Midnight, and “Partner Glow Yoga” offered by Bonnie Bowman and Sara Ash. Yoga mats will be available to borrow! On Saturday, general admission gates open at 8:30am, the Yoga Garden at 9:00am, and main stage entertainment begins at 10:00am. Music workshops will be available, bring your instruments! Kids can enjoy activities from 12:00pm – 5:00pm. *All yoga classes, music workshops and kids’ activities are FREE to ticket holders! Vincennes Moose Lodge 281
If you’re a member of the Moose Lodge, you know they have Karaoke night every other Saturday from 9-midnight. This is for members only, but one may come as a guest of a member!
The Vincennes Brewing Company
The VBC has 2-3 live music acts a month in their upstairs bar! These acts play on either Friday or Saturday. Some past acts to perform here include Jasper Smith, Jared and Luke, Steve Fulton, and Roney Watts just to name a few. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for their rotating schedule of live acts!
Lasata Wines
On the first Friday of every month, Lasata has their “Wine” Downs event. The winery is open until 8PM with live music from 6-8PM IL time. No cover charge!
Willies Pub
If you love Karaoke, and are over the age of 21, Willies Pub is the place for you on Thursday nights! They also have a live DJ on Friday’s and Saturday’s! Come one, come all – Willies Pub is sure to have music for everyone.
Old Time Players
When the Old Time Players has a show in the works, they’re here to be your weekend entertainment. Their most current show runs from October 18-20 and 25-27. You can purchase tickets to their shows at Save-A-Lot, the VU Bookstore, First Vincennes Savings Bank, and Eyeworks. Prices vary between $4 for children and $10 for adults.
