Knox County’s Thanksgiving Fare

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching but there is still time to plan a delicious meal featuring some of Knox County’s finest cuisine.  Nothing this year has been typical, so why not give yourself a break and scale down to a low-key dinner?  We have a great menu items to get your shopping list started!

Quick Breakfast Option

Graze 1885 has an array of delicious pastries to nibble on while you are busy preparing your meal.

Appetizers

Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom has a great list of appetizers and some of their lighter offerings are Roasted Cauliflower or Artichoke Dip.

Main Course

Here are some non-traditional (and convenient) entrees that we love. The Delish Deli’s has hearty and made-to-order sandwich trays or Procopio’s Pizza & Pasta trays of Lasagna and Alfredo or Rosa Pasta `will satisfy everyone’s hunger.  If you opt for a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner, call ahead for freshly-baked rolls from Montana Mike’s and make sure to order plenty!

Desserts & Beverages

Wrap up your meal with a pie ordered from Apple Hill Orchard or a sheet cake from Dogwood BBQNo guest will ever turn down a chocolate turtle or caramel corn from Charlie’s Corn & Candy and The Melon Patch’s homemade fudge is legendary!  Don’t forget to add Windy Knoll to the list for the perfect dry, semi-dry or sweet wine to accompany your dinner selections.
