Go Camping in Knox County!

Campgrounds have reopened just in time for the beginning of summer!   Families can start packing their supplies and gear to escape from everyday life and surround themselves in nature.  Don’t forget to pack an “entertainment kit” including binoculars, flashlights for nighttime tag and blankets for stargazing, matches for the bonfire, weenie roasting sticks and balloons for hot days and water balloon fights!  If hiking trails is your interest, Ouabache Trails Park offers miles of marked trails.  There are all kinds of opportunities for family fun in the great outdoors.

Make sure to reserve your site in advance, campsites fill up quickly during the warmer months.  Knox County offers both primitive tent and RV camping at our three campgrounds as well as cabins for rent at Ouabache Trails Park. Be sure to check out all of our local campground here!
