Knox County’s 2021 Halloween Events

With Halloween quickly approaching many of us are marking our calendars are filling up with fun events! Before you finalize your plans though, be sure to read the list below to find out how you can participate in even more of these spooktacular events happening locally!

Starting Friday, October 15th – “Young Frankenstein” the Musical

Young Frankenstein has all of the panache of the screen sensation that you remember, with a little extra theatrical flair added. With Memorable tunes such as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend,” and “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” Young Frankenstein is scientifically proven to be a monstrously good time.

This show is being produced by Old Town Players and will be airing two different weekends—October 15th – 17th, and October 22nd – 24th. For information about showtimes and ticket availability and prices, click HERE.

Saturday, October 16th – Bicknell Haunted House

For a scary good time, be sure to stop by Bicknell’s Haunted House! This year’s theme is “Dying Lights.” The haunted house will be open every remaining Saturday this month (October 16th, 23rd, 29th, and 30th).

Saturday, October 16th – Ft. Knox II Ghost Hunt

Explore the unexplained during a ghost investigation at Fort Knox II. Join Friday Night Paranormal – a paranormal investigation team – to see what mysterious happenings can be discovered while also learning about the history of the historic fort.

Hosted by the Vincennes State Historic Sites, this event is from 8 PM – 10 PM and costs $15 per person. Registration is required. For more information click HERE.

Friday, Ocotber 22nd – Downtown Vincennes Ghost Walk

Things are about to get a little spooky! Explore downtown Vincennes during a guided evening walk and hear local ghost stories and other scary tales at various locations – just in time for Halloween.

Hosted by the Vincennes State Historic Sites, this event is from 7 PM – 10 PM and costs $15 per person. Registration is required. For more information click HERE.

Saturday, October 23rd – A Spook-A-Licious Extravaganza

Get your ghoul on during a Halloween party just for kids! Play some spooktacular games, listen to a few not-so-spooky stories, take a haunted walk around the grounds and bring along your trick-or-treat bags for some sweet treats! 

Hosted by the Vincennes State Historic Sites, this event takes place from 6 PM – 8 PM and costs $5 per child. Registration is required by noon on Oct. 23. For more information click HERE.

Monday, October 25th – Food Trucks on the Wabash Halloween Bash

For a night filled with fun and food, be sure to attend the Food Trucks on the Wabash’s Halloween Bash! There will be costume contests, live music from Jared & Luke as well as Just 1 More, and all of the food trucks you know and love!

Friday, October 29th – Downtown Halloween Bash

Downtown Halloween Bash sponsored by American Family Insurance will be located on the 300 block of Main St. on October 29th from 4-7 PM. There will be inflatables, balloon twisting, games, prizes and so much more! Plus, there will be tons of other downtown merchants participating as trick or treat stops as well!

Friday, October 29th – Hart Street Safe Stop

Trick-or-Treat up and down Hart Street in Vincennes! This event is designed as a safe trick-or-treating opportunity put on by the Vincennes Police Department in conjunction with the numerous business along Hart Street in Vincennes.

Saturday, October 30th – Witches on Bikes

It is time for the 1st Annual Witches On Bikes! Dust-Off Those Hats & Shine Up Those Brooms (Bikes)! Join In On A Fun Afternoon Riding With Fellow Witches Casting Those Halloween Spells (Or Spreading Joy! This Will Bring Smiles To People’s Faces When They See A Biking Group Of Witches)! Route & Starting Location To Be Determined. Invite Your Friends~All Welcome! The More Witches The Better🧹🧙🧹Must Come As A Witch & Must Have A Bike!

Saturday, October 30th – 2nd Annual Bicknell Halloween Parade

Hosted by Sons of Honor & the Bicknell Halloween Haunted House, the second annual Bicknell Halloween Parade! This year’s theme is the “Walking Dead,” and children of all ages are invited to participate.

Sunday, October 31st – First Baptist Church Trunk-or-Treat

Join us on Halloween night for a fun-filled Trunk or Treat! Come for the candy, stay for the fellowship! FREE + Open to the public. Chili and hotdogs will be served!

Sunday, October 31st – Oaken Days 2021 Halloween Trunk-or-Treat

Come and celebrate Halloween with all the little kids in downtown Oaktown. The streets will be blocked off from traffic for the safety of your little ones!

Sunday, October 31st – St. Francis Xavier Parish Trunk-or-Treat

Hosted by St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish, this Trunk-or-Treat is open to ALL! Join other trick-or-treaters for a night of fun, fellowship, and candy!

Information Regarding Regular Trick or Treating in Knox County

In an announcement on October 11th, the City of Vincennes has set its suggested Halloween trick-or-treating hours for this year as the following

Saturday, October 30th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM & Sunday, October 31st from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

Those involving themselves in trick-or-treating activities should leave their porch lights on to signal their intent, and drivers are reminded to be especially careful and to watch for trick-or-treaters of all ages over the Halloween weekend.
