A Christmas Story

Friday & Saturday Shows begin at 7 pm. Sunday’s Show starts at 3 pm.
“A Christmas Story” will open for six performances on Friday. Show dates are Dec. 8-9-10 & 15-16-17 at the Old Town Players Theatre & Arts Center, 432 Broadway Street.
The show is presented with assistance from Edward Jones / David and Jack Skinner.
The talented cast features Emily Bible, Max Colston, Justin Dawson, Steve Gregory, Lydia Jones, Quinn Jones, Vann Jones, Aneel Khurana, Arjun Khurana, Kate Kotter, Jace Lang, Abby Laue, Austin Laue, Kathy Mooney, Dylan Noel, Josh Pack, Dennis Steckley, and Roman Strader.
Show times on Fridays and Saturdays are 7 p.m. (EDT) and Sunday shows begin at 3 p.m. Tickets sold at the door cost $15 for adults, $12 for students (age 13+), $12 for seniors (age 60+), and $5 for children (under age 13). A discount of $2 is available on adult, student, and senior tickets purchased in advance at Save-A-Lot, I’Mpressed Coffee, Eyeworks, First Vincennes Savings Bank, and the Vincennes University Bookstore.

ABOUT THE SHOW (suggested rating, PG)
A Christmas Story is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. The story follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts – an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire for the coveted BB gun. All the iconic scenes from the movie are here: Ralphie’s friend, Flick, getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole; his brother, Randy, getting dressed in his snowsuit; the bullies, Farkus and Dill; the infamous ‘major award’ leg lamp; the bunny suit; Christmas dinner; and many others.
