The Vincennes University Performing Arts Department will present a free concert, featuring the VU Woodwind Ensemble, on Thursday, March 5, to celebrate Women’s History Month. The performance will take place at 7:30pm at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, located at 20 W. Red Skelton Boulevard on the Vincennes campus. The public is invited to attend. Explore stories of some of southern Indiana's most inspiring women for International Women's Day presented by Vincennes State Historic Sites. Discover the lasting legacies of influential Hoosier women from activists to army wives during this walk throughout downtown Vincennes.

Today, we can produce documents in minutes and have the literary world at our fingertips! But in the early Republic, literacy and owning a book were rare. In this homeschool event, students will discover how newspapers were created, learn the intricacies of printing on old-fashioned printing press and make their own printed piece.
