Groundbreaking Black Citizens in Knox County
A special program at the Red Skelton Museum will recognize notable black citizens from Knox County, both past and present from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. March 5. The museum will be open from 12 to 5 p.m. so that those attending can also enjoy the Black Hoosiers Exhibit. The Open Gallery, 329 Main will present a retrospective exhibition of works by John Baeder. Michael Mullen, gallery co-director, has been collecting Baeder’s artworks over the span of a life-long friendship with the artist, and is now sharing this collection.
