Registration: 9 AM to 12 Noon. Fee $20. Awards presented: 2 PM. (Rain date, 9/19/2026.) Proceeds support the annual Clothe Local Children shopping trip. Viewing admission is free.

For Children: 4 years to 9 years TWO SESSIONS TO CHOOSE FROM: 5:00 pm & 5:30 pm Each of the buildings on the tour will tell of a tale cautionary stories passed down through generations of parents to their children. Each building will have an accompanying activity for children to do and take home with them. Led by costumed interpreters. Tours begin at the Territorial Capitol Site, 1 W. Harrison St., Vincennes.

Family Event – American Creation Stories
Creation stories are a large part of human society, and the early pioneers and Native Americans were no different. Creation stories help humans understand their place in the universe and will often use the stars to provide answers to the age-old questions of why are we here, and who is out there beyond this planet? Interpreters will introduce the participants to various creation stories and while encouraging discussion, will direct the artists among them to develop their own creation story…

Christmas Candlelight Tour
FREE. Come and celebrate the Holiday Season at the Vincennes State Historic Sites as part of Christmas at Grouseland and the Vincennes Christkindlmarkt and Parade of Lights. The buildings will be lit by candlelight and participants will be able to tour each of the buildings. Costumed interpreters will be on site to enhance the experience.
