Salute to Veterans of WWII
This World War II event includes encampments, various combat units presented by re-enactors, presentations and battle scenarios. The Indiana Military Museum contains one of the best overall collections of military memorabilia from the Revolutionary War to the present day. The museum has a vast array of unique artifacts, vehicles, artillery, weaponry, uniforms, insignia and artwork. The outdoor grounds is a museum in itself. Join us for this family friendly Halloween Fair! Play Halloween-themed games, listen to slightly spooky stories, and take a haunted walk around the grounds to collect sweet treats. Ninth Annual Henry Hamilton March
On December 16, 2023, park staff and volunteers will offer visitors the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of British Lt. Governor Henry Hamilton and his soldiers as they made their march to Vincennes in 1778. Their journey to Fort Sackville challenged the soldiers with uncertain weather conditions, ice-choked rivers, and constant fear of ambush. After a long grueling march, Hamilton and his men arrived in Vincennes on December 17, 1778. The British would hold the fort for over two months before Clark launched his “winter surprise” to retake the region.
