On a night long ago the story begins, when Cooper and Dark’s Pandemonium Shadow show rolled into town. James and Will leave their beds to watch the train pull in. But no one is manning the locomotive or the rail cars. The siren song of a calliope beckons all with impossible dreams and youth regained. Lured by its promises, the boys will soon discover the diabolical truth of the carnival. Only Jim, James and Will’s father can save their town from the sinister carnival.
