Printing and Technology: Early Republic Style

The late 1700s and early 1800s were an exciting time for scientists; it was the beginning of the modern style of medicine and technology.  Biologists were learning about the natural world, the chemical and physical scientists, along with engineers were beginning to understand how world works, at the same time, steam power had begun the industrial revolution, and medicine was on the cusp of understanding how disease spread.  These exciting times heralded the development of the telegraph, steam trains, the camera  and modern medical practices.  Join us as we dive into some of these inventions with hands-on activities and understand how these ideas and developments spread with the help of the printing press.
