“Knox County Recycles Day” – Knox Co. Recycling SWMD

In honor of “America Recycles Day”, the Knox County Recycling Solid Waste Management District (SWMD) is hosting “Knox County Recycles Day” on Saturday, November 14 at the SWMD Office, 1303 Willow Street. Clean, dry and sorted items will be accepted and include plastics #1 (bottles), plastics #2 (jugs), cardboard, paperboard, magazines, aluminum cans and steel cans.
*Recycling in Knox County is offered regularly at three different locations: Monroe City @ Blue Jean Center (1242 Main Street), Thursdays, 2pm – 6pm & Saturdays, 8am – 2pm; Sandborn @ Water Department (on the right past the Bluejay Junction), Fridays, 2pm – 6pm & Saturdays, 8am – 2pm; Bicknell Recycling Center (303 E. 1st Street), Tuesday, Wednesday, Fridays, 9am – 3pm & Saturdays, 9am – 1pm.
Recycling reduces roadside litter and landfill waste. Do your part and help Knox County clean!
