First Friday Art Walk
March 6 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Open Gallery– March/April shows will feature abstract paintings by Clarksville, IN native Andrew Rosenbarger. Rosenbarger tells us that his works are abstractions of memory rather than a singular moment or event. We often miss the nuance in the moments when we encounter our found objects, our antiques, and our buildings that are weathered by time, with an uncertain future ahead.
“When space and time feel uncertain, the mind instinctively categorizes and processes information, constructing its own narrative to make sense of what it sees. This is where the pieces truly live—with the viewer. They exist as subconscious memories, a collective, a recalled state of flux.”
Please come downtown on Friday, March 6, 2026 for the First Friday ArtWalk featuring “The Inevitability of the Absurd: The Abstractions of Andrew Rosenbarger. The artist will be on hand to discuss his work and to answer your questions. Refreshments will be served. Our own Open Gallery players will be unable to be with us in person, but will be back, by popular demand in April!
