241st Anniversary of Capture of British Fort Sackville & “Clark Day” Luncheon

The 241st anniversary of the siege and the surrender of British Fort Sackville will be conducted 11:00am (ET) in the rotunda of the George Rogers Clark Memorial (401 S. 2nd Street). The program includes the presentation of colors by the Indiana Society Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard, recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, laying of a wreath at the Clark statue for Flaget Elementary School fourth grade students, and guest speaker, Lisa Ice-Jones, Executive Director of the Grouseland Foundation. The public is invited to this free event. For additional information, contact the ranger staff at 812-882-1776 ext. 1210. In addition and directly after the ceremony, the public is invited to the annual “Clark Day” Luncheon held at the St. Francis Xavier Parish Center (106 S. 3rd Street). The cost of the luncheon is $13/person with a drink and dessert included.
