Step into Spring

Early spring wildflowers are starting to appear, new ferns are beginning to unfurl, animals and birds are becoming livelier. Join Naturalist Terri Talarek King on a casual spring stroll to take in what is happening in nature during early spring, at Ouabache Trails Park, just north of Vincennes, on April 14, 2019. During spring, Ouabache Trails Park displays an abundance of wildflowers in a parade of many different species throughout the season. Meet in front of the park office at 2:00pm Eastern time. The walk will stop at the Lynn Wiseman Butterfly Garden, then start on Trail 1, an easy trail. It will continue on Trail 2, which has some steep slopes, and perhaps further. The walk will take 1.5 to 2 hours and will proceed rain or shine. All ages are welcome, families are encouraged to attend and there is no fee or registration. The “Spring Stroll” is part of the Second Sunday Nature Explorations series for 2019. For more information, email leapingfrog55@yahoo.com or leave a voice message at 812-881-8987.
