The Shircliff Gallery of Art is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibition, Vincent “Sniper” Frimpong: Beyond the Single. Please join Feb. 21st at 12 p.m., for an opening reception and talk with the artist. Food and beverage will be served. The reception is free and open to the public.
Vincent “Sniper” Frimpong is a contemporary ceramic artist born in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. His work addresses issues of African identity, colonialism, consumerism, and imperialism. He takes waste of the western world which is shipped to Africa, and creates art by reassembling and recontextualizing these objects (tech waste, used clothing).
