Annual “Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day”

The Indiana Military Museum will host the Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 9. The public is invited to this special event in honoring our Vietnam Veterans. Meet, and greet Indiana’s own Medal of Honor recipient, Sergeant Sammy L. Davis! Gates open at 9:00 am with events beginning at 10:00 am.
Enjoy FREE outdoor events, living history exhibits, battle scenarios, military artifact vendors, reenactor demonstrations, and food vendors on site. Grab the opportunity to ride an authentic Huey helicopter flown by Search & Rescue! Rides are available to purchase for $100/Adult, $50/Child, WWII and Korean Veterans FREE! The inside exhibits include collections from pre-Civil War to the present day. Food and refreshment vendors will also be present. This memorable event celebrates the 46th anniversary of the end of WWII.
All outdoor exhibits and events are FREE and open to the public.
$3.00 car/parking fee.

Saturday, Oct. 9th: Open 9am -5pm
- 9:00 AM – Gates Open
- 10:00 AM – Huey and Sgt. Davis arrive at IMM
- 10:30 AM – 1st rides on Huey to start; Sgt. Davis signing copies of his book
- 12:15 PM – Break for Lunch
- 1:15 PM – Huey resumes rides
- 2:30 PM – Battle Scenario for public includes Huey battlefield extraction
- 3:00 PM – Rides on Huey resume
