DESCRIPTION:“Spirit of Freedom in Early Vincennes”- Commemoration of US forces capturing 40 British soldiers along the shores of the Wabash\, as well as 8 boats of clothing and Native American trade goods. Registration is required and seating is limited. The registration fee is $10 and includes the program\, dessert and a drink. The event is open to the public. The first 40 who arrive will receive a 250th American Revolution Anniversary pin. Parking is available across the street in the city parking lot. A “first person” living history presentation\, given by Father Pierre Gibault\, a french woman\, Francis Vigo\, Francis Busseron\, Leonard Helm\, Captain Le Gras\, a captured British officer and George Rogers Clark.
