SUMMARY:President's Day Historic Sites
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate President’s Day with free admission to Vincennes state historic sites. At Vincennes State Historic Site\, visitors can learn more about Indiana’s time as a territory as they explore the state’s oldest town\, which served as the territorial capital from 1800-13. Guided building tours of original structures like the Territory Capitol building\, the Jefferson Academy and Old French House will offer insights about what life was like for residents during the territorial period. Building tours will take place on the hour from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.\, EST. Fort Knox II will also be open to self-guided tours for guests to learn more about the area’s importance as an early military outpost.
