SUMMARY:A Gala Concert - Red Skelton Performing Arts Center
DESCRIPTION:The Vincennes University Performing Arts Department proudly presents “A Gala Concert” on Tuesday\, November 17.  This year’s concert is virtual and will be presented via our YouTube channel beginning November 17 at 7:00pm.      The performance will showcase a variety of VU Music student performing groups\, including the VU Concert Band\, under the direction of Susie Jackson; Concert Choir\, under the direction of Logan Williams; Brass Ensemble\, under the direction of Addisson Grimm; Percussion Ensemble\, under the direction of Susie Jackson; and “VU Connection”\, under the direction of Logan Williams.  The concert will feature a wide variety of traditional and contemporary wind and choral literature.  All performers will be properly masked and socially distanced.  Additionally\, wind players will wear specialized face masks and use bell covers and/or instrument bags\, and singers will use face shields in addition to face masks.  The audience is also welcome to join us for this musical celebration by going to our VU Music YouTube page:  https://youtube.com/channel/UCTbt_9FXAX5xzSfhJEyrUEg  *Please subscribe in advance by going to the link above and clicking “Subscribe”.  By doing so\, you will receive notification about upcoming performances.
